The different pet categories

Pets belong to three different categories: 'Ancient', 'Classical' and 'Childish Looking'.

Ancient Pets

'Ancient' pets are creatures that could be tamed in the old taming system before August 2009. They still exist as pets but cannot be tamed in the wild anymore. They are considered as 'Legendary':

'Classical' pets have been introduced from the second half of 2014. In terms of appearance, they completely fit in the current design of the game, and are often based on pre-existing creatures. Following tamable creatures belong to this group:

These pets have a pronounced childish look:

• Corinthian Kanin young, Chirin Dragon Young and Eudorian Devil Young
• Their corresponding rare variants called Corinthian Silver Kanin, Sapphire Chirin Dragon and Eudorian Sapphire Devil that can be found (more rarely) at the same locations
• Epic variants called Corinthian Ruby Kanin, Ruby Chirin Dragon and Eudorian Ruby Devil
• Legendary variants called Rabbiger, Sterling Chirin and Eudorian Wasp Devil
• Mythic variants called Eudoracell, Royal Chirin and Eudorian Lava Devil
• Atrox Pup and Atrox Sapphire Pup that I add to this category, because they are unlike the traditional Atrox and have clearly a ComPet look - See some more pictures of Atrox Sapphire Pup here
• Cats, Dogs and Pandas, each of them in three different levels of rarity, that are only obtainable from Classified Strongboxes.

Pet features and abilities (buffs)

Each creature type has its own specific features and can unlock different passive effects according to different criteria. Each tamable type has a different set of unlockable abilities, provided that a pet can only have one permanent active effect active at the same time. Most pets possess the unlockable ability 'Skill Gain - Pet and Taming' that enables pet and taming skills to increase faster. Corinthian Kanin possesses the ability 'Acceleration' instead and this makes this pet quite interesting for this reason. Rare and unusual types have additional possibilities. To unlock a passive effect, the Unlock Status must reach 100%. For the 'Skill Gain - Pet and Taming' ability, this is obtained by taming other creatures while your pet is summoned.
